Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD and Rear Driveline Disconnect
Available Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive (TV-AWD) helps enhance responsiveness and stability by sending up to 50 percent of the power to the rear and then further distributing that power to the right or left wheel. To help boost fuel efficiency, Rear Driveline Disconnect will stop sending power to the rear when it isn’t necessary.
Multi-Terrain Select
RAV4 features standard Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) on All-Wheel Drive (AWD) gas models. Choose between four modes (MUD & SAND, ROCK & DIRT, SNOW and NORMAL) for enhanced traction. When activated, the system is designed to sense slippage and regulate wheelspin by automatically adjusting the engine throttle, brakes and drive-force distribution—helping to maximize driving performance on different surfaces2.
