If you’re an outdoor adventurer, this place will challenge and intrigue you. It happens to be one of the most popular rock-climbing areas around. Thinner faces make it an ideal choice for newbies while steep areas challenge the more experienced. The boulder is located just five minutes from the parking area.

Edgemoor Farm

Part of the Santee Historical Society Museum, this farm was built in 1913 as a dairy farm. The owner also created a polo pony ranch, making it a visitor attraction from the start. Over the years, it has been used in many ways, but it was returned as a historic site and is now the oldest building in Santee. The museum tells the history of the area with interesting artifacts.

Phil’s BBQ

While you’re enjoying a day out, make time for some authentic barbeque with special sauces and rubs that have been developed over the years. Starting with just four employees, today there are more than 400 people working with Phil at a restaurant that has become a staple in the area. Large portions ensure you get full before you leave.
