Meet Vincent Castro - Owner & Operator of Toyota of Poway!

Vincent Castro was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating high school he attended University of New Orleans. While earning his B.A. from UNO, he took a job at the age of 20 as a salesperson for a local Toyota dealer. Thus, a long term career began and has continued spanning over the last 27 years. Vincent has worked his way through management in many high volume stores then finding his place as General Manager running a Toyota store purchased by Troy Duhon, a lifelong friend and co-worker. Toyota of New Orleans quickly established itself as a volume store leading in market share and earning numerous Excellence awards as well as Toyota’s Presidents Award. In 2008 Vincent ventured in to a majority partnership as Dealer of Toyota of Poway. Castro’s customer oriented business style is consistent with what brought him success at Toyota of New Orleans and prior. Vincent operates very hands on. You will see him daily in the dealership working with Department Managers and often speaking to customers both in Sales and Service. He believes in showing appreciation to the customers who gave the “new guy who showed up from down south” an opportunity to serve them in their area. Vincent and Lourdes Castro love Poway, California and have three children, Michael, Alexis and Alyssa. Upon relocating to Poway, the Castro family resumed their community involvement participating in local school, sports and church functions. Vincent Castro is grateful to the area who welcomed his family so seamlessly upon their arrival. At the same time, Vincent lends support as a local businessman in the Poway community by positioning Toyota of Poway to offer sponsorships at local events and to be great corporate citizens. When he is afforded the time, Vincent is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his family.
